This show could have kept going. They were on CW11 WPIX, channel 11 going strong 8pm Thursday nights until that final 4th year when The World Series lasted multiple weeks too long, and that hurt the ratings of the show. After a while people lost interest in going back to the channel to check if the show came back yet. Then somebody at the Network moved it to Friday nights. That never lasted when the show went on hiatus. When it finally came back, it was featured on Monday nights. Then the Network cancelled the show, so the last couple episodes they decided to do, featured a very hurried along tale of how Mary, Queen of Scots got beheaded. The show didn’t get the real time it needed to tell the whole tale the right way. I was disappointed in how it ended and felt sorry for the Cast, Director, Producer, & Writers with the storytelling. The show should not have been pre-maturely cancelled after 4 years with a stable following, so SOMEBODY was trying to hurt it. Yes, they took their time in presenting the story of her life, but many of the nuances made it feel authentic. A lot of study went into that. It was filled with politics, regality, and action. The show went global and sparked a re-analysis in history. Scotland, made headway in the news if you remember a couple years ago, on account of its past Queen, which began political negotiations to break away from Great Britain. And when you look into it historically, it makes sense. With a TV show like ‘Reign’ on the airwaves re-telling the story in an artful way, I see the real reason why it got cancelled. A serious political movement was happening around it. Things simmered down now. But looking back centuries ago, given the Woman’s just & kind nature and how she went about things, it’s possible The Slave Trade may never had happened had she gained full Rulership over England. She would have been the rightful Queen of all 3 nations: Scotland, France & England, with Spain still as her ally. Some non-Catholic Nobles at the time didn’t want to see that, and they orchestrated her demise so a bastard, Queen Elizabeth I, would keep the throne of England unchallenged. That’s how Scotland fell to English rule and became a part of the United Kingdom with territories like parts of Ireland, whom valiantly fought against The British also, but was only partly successful in keeping a-half of their Kingdom from British rule to this day. Remember the movie ‘Braveheart’ with Mel Gibson? Well Scotland was fierce in protecting their land against The English and often won and the movie ended like that. So this ‘Reign’ rekindled old grievances. So when Mary got captured and beheaded, they were without a Queen and the politics at that time made it possible for that kingdom to fall, because there apparently was nothing France, Spain & the Vatican could do legally. Like many, I still miss ‘Reign’. It had the betrayal, the suspense, the romance, the charm, & the adventure. It was beautiful.

I have to disagree with the reports about this show being a flop. There are whack TV shows that made it through even though ratings were low, but The Network allowed it. They should have saved this show too. The story and cinematography was great. And how could you not like that dog. Almost every actor brought the Theatre Drama. The Queen (Medusa) was cool to watch. I also felt for Maximus. His storyline was intriguing to watch. Had they kept the show, they would need to figure a way for Maximus to have escaped his doom. I would more expect the show to have ended their final Season right about now. I mean you people kept Marvel, Agents of Shield, and I think that’s whack!

I was expecting Shondo to win, or one of the more competent females. The Council was cool, especially that neck move when dismissing the warriors. I loved the way the EverRealm Demon looked. I was expecting this show to come back and probably end with an epic battle as a series on ABC right about now, BUT the Network had a problem seeing the value of this kind of adventure show. It should have been immediately picked up by another network. Five years later, after a short run, it’s still carrying energy in internet circles.

A very unique biblical show with the traditional re-telling of the Jesus story, this time with an Old Testament God with us feel. I don’t know why the Network did not follow through with seeing the show for another Season. They had a wonderful theatrical Tele-play. Maybe it was too Christian.

A cute cat & mouse detective show with a 60s/70s Cosmopolitan feel. They should have brought it back and closed the final Season right about now. There was no reason to dump it before its time.

This show first aired on Comedy Central for 5 Seasons and it got cancelled in 2002. It was then revived in 2015 by ABC, who later cancelled the show after 2 Seasons. Now, it’s on the Science Channel. Remote control robot cars fighting each other. This was an exciting show and I don’t know why the Network didn’t keep it. It had the qualities it needed to continue. A game show tournament about competing Engineers creating Artificial Intelligence for fun, with a big live sports event appeal. Maybe if the show’s revival dĂ©buted on the Fox Network instead of ABC, they may have had a future.

OH MAN, I’m soooo disappointed. This show was one of the under-appreciated TV shows. Almost every episode had a movie-feel to it with the live action. It was a well-written drama that incorporated comedy in a fine way. I’m surprised people were wasting time with other competing shows. Maybe what turned off some people was seeing comedy guy Damon Wayans in the lead Black Detective role and just dismissed the show based off that. Had they bothered to watch a few episodes, that Stereotype they had in their heads going back to his ‘In Living Color’ days would have disappeared. I stopped seeing Damon the Stand-Up Comic, and started seeing the character he was playing well. Besides, the show rotated around his Caucasian partner, Riggs. I never had a problem with the show. I expecting it to last. Things started to go bad when reports came out that Damon was leaving the show due to the roughness of it taking a toll on his health. So who was going to play his role then??? So as the Season went on, we still see him there, but the guy who played Riggs was written off and only mentioned a few times. His storyline for the Season changes from what we expected, to now a new guy casted to partner with Damon’s character, BUT GUESS WHAT, the new guy looks like (dress-wise), sounds like, & behaves much like good old Riggs & with his own troubled background. So I don’t know what happened. But after a few exciting episodes, the show got cancelled. I guess they couldn’t reconcile something, and now I don’t have one of my favorite shows to view, but I see an ad on the same Fox Network about a new show dĂ©buting at the start of the new year called ‘Deputy’ and the cinematography looks much like ‘Lethal Weapon’ even the lead character looks like an older version of Riggs.

So this show was a weird series about cowboys and gals and Black sexy Vampire men. Again, another interesting original series that didn’t get a chance to take. It could be that the storyline seemed all over the place when you turn to it not knowing exactly what it’s about. The story looked like it was going places and I was excited to see more. Remember, fans of ‘Constantine’ & ‘Grimm’ & ‘Sleepy Hollow’, 3 good shows that were cancelled, would now have another weird occult series like this to gravitate to, but the Networks just didn’t get it.

Grimm

DECAPITARE! Remember that? Oh man, at least it ended well. I thought the show ended too soon though. There were so many folklore The Grimm could have explored still. One of them recently popping up in our real life news, a shadowy figure known as SLENDER MAN. Had ‘Grimm’ continued, that would have been interesting. As far as the finale went, what should have gotten communicated was the idea that the little girl would have changed into a grown woman had she entered the portal with The Destroyer. That part with him mocking what someone said, we could have done without. Where the show went bad for me in the series was when they put The Grimm with that Blondie Hexen Beast, and fucked up the storyline with his brunette girlfriend. Like where did that idea come from? None of that was necessary. So anyway, the intrigue was still there. There was nothing corny about the good guys in the series. They were believable. The plot twists were exciting, and the costume design of the different Wessen (pronounced, Vessen) were cool. We desperately need another show like this on TV.

**Constantine

I still gotta talk about this series in context of everything else surrounding it. When I first watched the show, I thought after a couple episodes it was stupid, but I kept watching to see where it went, due to the comic book occult nature of the show and then I saw promise. The show really got interesting when they involved an ‘Exorcist’ like scene with Constantine. The church scene with the man-dog was really cool with him running. You don’t see shit like that on TV and I guess those 2 episodes scared some people that they pulled the show just when it was really getting better. I was PISSED! What ended up happening was, NBC didn’t realize that Fox 5 was seeing A HIT why they accepted a DC Comics / Vertigo Comics version when they accepted a pitch for ‘Lucifer’. So fans of ‘Constantine’ went over to watch ‘Lucifer’ which had some of the same dark elements in it like the Big Bold Black Sexy Guardian Angel, Amenadiel. But ‘Lucifer’ the show had a lot of problems from conception in differentiating the stupid spoiled slapstick idea a mediocre comic book writer had about how he saw The Devil, from the real biblical theology, which created confusion offending people who knew better. And the show shouldn’t have made it to TV in the first place, especially when they added continual gay elements to his character which turned off a lot of people because none of that shit was necessary. It’s like having a show about Jesus Christ on TV, and to appease the Gay community, since that’s a Hollywood Agenda, the network decides to have some episodes of him screwing one or more Disciples. You can imagine how ratings would drop & ads being pulled from the show. So anyway, when the show ‘Midnight Texas’ popped up, we went over there. When that shit got cancelled, there was still ‘Gotham’ which lasted as a series on Fox 5 and ultimately ended well.

Based on the fairytale, the show didn’t disappoint. It came with the weird & spooky. They still had a lot of material to explore. Again, it should have went on airing, and look to be closing the Series just before the year 2020. I guess things got a bit too ethnic for viewers. And when they closed, their last Season episode model with the Tall Dark and Sexy Power Lord, got scooped up by other TV shows using it like, ‘Constantine’ & ‘Lucifer’. It’s too bad when a Network can’t recognize a winner.

Leave the kids alone! How dare you take that show away from them. Dancing With The Stars (DWTS) every now and then would feature kids Ballroom Dancing and after many seasons, ABC supposedly cancelled DWTS, and a spinoff with the children happened, BUT the kids show got cancelled instead & DWTS returned. When DWTS were rumored cancelled at the time due to low ratings, some people thought they deserved that given some of the feud, unfair judge criticisms, Judge favoritism, & minor racial stuff. Since it looked like it ran its course, I was fine with it being gone. I was looking forward to the kids, but I guess after seeing it, some people don’t think kids should be scantily dressed dancing sexy. Well, here we go again, so get rid of kid fashion shows, kid beauty pageants, & gymnastics. Do not let them even go to the beach & start dressing them more like Muslim kids. How ridiculous can the average American be over shit like that. I was doing ballet in first grade. The Kids are learning about poise, grace, elegance, timing, technique, culture, & storytelling through dance. Yes, they have to look the part as well. They danced beautifully. In some cases more professional than the adult version of the show. So now they remain in the background only to be featured rarely somewhere. They need their own show. We must support kids! I hope the Network reconsiders.

How unfortunate! I was hoping the sex scandal with Mario Batali didn’t hurt the rest of the hosts, but ABC pulled the show. It was a fun show. I was on The Set a few times. It was one of my favorite Daytime TV shows. Since then, the other hosts had to find something else to do, being featured on other peoples shows sometimes. So now months after the fact, we see Rachael Ray, who’s Set I’ve been on as well, filling the spot moving to their new time slot at 2pm, (formerly The Chew’s) which should have happened sooner instead of it being the case later, when the ABC Network wanted The Tamron Hall Show in the Morning at Rachael’s old time, 10am.

A TV show about Southern Life in the Country Music Industry and all the things that could go wrong. I don’t know why they took the show off the air considering that ABC, features all the real life country Music Festivals out there. Now this TV Show, ‘Nashville’ offered insight to that world. It was done well, and when they cancelled, the show was picked up by a country cable network (CMT) and lasted for a while until it got cancelled, no Season 7. I’m not sure if it was purely a ratings problem, maybe there was some prejudice involved in sharing that Dixie lifestyle so much on air, they didn’t think was popular.

**The Mayor

Last Aired: 1/25/2018

They never gave this show enough time to take. It came out the with the same new Season timing on the same Network as another current show, The Good Doctor, which features a brilliant autistic young man. The Mayor features a ‘Fresh Prince of Bel Air’ type young rapper trying to get his come up, so he ran for Mayor as a joke for publicity, not expecting to win. So when he does, the job is challenging, and all he really cares about is his music. Instead of cancelling it, all the Network had to do was highlight in their ad packaging the difference between the 2 shows. So Monday nights we see drama, one kind of genius played by a White guy portraying the life of a special needs person who’s gifted, & Tuesday nights, we see comedy with another kind of genius with this Black guy who seems stupid & unqualified for the job, but happens to say & do things that are ingenious. What went wrong with the show was the poor way they portrayed the main character as if he was some type of fool. That whole idea was dumb for the Network to do because you’re telling your viewing audience right there the show has no value. They missed an opportunity to present a case of civil importance that could have went somewhere since just the title of the show, attracted Mayor De Blasio himself to take the public Halloween idea featured in the show to do in real life. So now, because they cancelled it, we see the actor who played The Mayor, Brandon Michael Hall, still in a starring role on a CBS show with the actor who played Papa Pope in ‘Scandal’, called ‘God Friended Me’ which is still going strong with another Season, because that Network is using impacting real life concepts to fuel the show, and there are all kinds of stories to tell. Hey Brandon! Satan, Friended Me.

This TV Series was about predicting future crime & stopping it. It starred Meagan Good. She held my interest as a leading Black heroine. She looked great in that body suit. I don’t know why the Network felt they needed to cancel the show, because they had other shows people weren’t really watching. ‘Minority Report’ at least had a following from the movie.

I liked the show. It could have gone on had they not used Jennifer Lopez. She’s a busy Celebrity. Of course at some point, they’d have to close the show and this happened too soon. I was more feeling actor Ray Liotta’s character. He played a corrupt officer name Wozniak leading a team. He wasn’t a bad man though. The only off thing about his character in the show was The Gay Agenda when they wrote him having an affair with another man, which made no sense after presenting his character in a Straight Old School Cop manner. And when that didn’t come off well in the ratings, they dropped that storyline & returned him back to his wife. The show ended stupid with J.Lo’s character, Harley ending up in prison when it could have been avoided. The police unit being investigated were corrupt, but they weren’t bad people, that FBI Agent though, was the bad guy. I liked the way Woz handled himself while being investigated because he was a Veteran cop and he got himself out of the fucking snare even when they thought they had him. Now, had Harley confided full info and trusted Woz, being a member of his team and all, instead of trying to handle things all on her own, he could have figured out a way to get her out of trouble too. Wozniak helped everyone else in his team and they didn’t go down. It made more sense for her to believe in “his way” rather than to let a corrupt FBI Agent interfere with her better judgment. If anything, SHE had more of a case against him. She was the target of what started off as a legitimate investigation, then the agent on the case crossed a civil moral line where he got way too obsessed with her, that even the Head Investigator took him off the case, and his infractions led to him being fired. He then went overboard with his obsession for this woman, still self-identifying as an FBI Agent on the case, following her life and looking like a crazy stalker wanting her pussy. When his former job learned about it, it was further validation of one of their own gone bad, so their original case investigating Wozniak’s team, got hurt and it should have stayed hurt. THEY now had a case. Harley was able to cover up her crimes right, and all the NBC Network had to do was close the show where she continued doing so, instead of trying to write some lame ass conscience script that didn’t look or feel right to the audience in the end.
